CU Phosco has become a Corporate Member of Cambridge Wireless, joining the leading UK community for organisations involved in the research, development and application of wireless, mobile, internet, semiconductor and software technologies.
Cambridge Wireless is a not-for-profit organisation owned by its members, with a governing board elected by the membership. Its community brings together more than 1,000 organisations from across the wireless enabled world, spanning securely connected devices, networks, software and applications, through to data analytics, telecommunications and satellite technologies. The organisation’s mission is to stimulate debate and collaboration, harness and share knowledge, and help build meaningful connections across the technology sector and beyond.
CU Phosco has supported the telecommunications industry since the early days of mobile communications in the 1980s and today works with Mobile Network Operators across the UK and internationally, either directly or through its network of contract partners. The company supplies durable monopole structures for rural connectivity, providing reliable support for antennas and associated equipment in hard-to-reach environments. In residential and urban settings, CU Phosco’s Connected Urban smart pole provides a multifunctional platform designed to integrate connectivity, CCTV, public address systems and other technologies within the public realm. This combination of rural and urban telecoms experience brings practical, real world delivery insight to the Cambridge Wireless community.
By joining as a Corporate Member, CU Phosco will take an active role in industry discussion and collaboration, contributing to conversations around network densification, smart cities and the integration of connectivity into public realm infrastructure. The membership will support closer engagement with technology partners, operators and innovators working across the connected urban landscape.
“Becoming a Corporate Member of Cambridge Wireless is a natural step for CU Phosco,” said Matt Murray, Sales and Marketing Director at CU Phosco. “Connectivity is increasingly delivered at street level, and lighting and infrastructure are now critical enablers of digital networks. This membership allows us to collaborate more closely with the technology community, share our practical experience of delivering infrastructure in complex environments, and help shape how connected cities evolve.”
CU Phosco looks forward to working with fellow Corporate Members and the wider Cambridge Wireless community to support innovation, collaboration and the delivery of resilient, future ready connectivity infrastructure across the UK and internationally.
