LIGHTING DESIGNER

We are looking for an experienced lighting designer to join our team. This permanent role is office based in the Technical Department in Ware, Hertfordshire. Hybrid working may be offered following a successful probation period.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Proven experience in lighting design, preferably in a similar role. Any relevant portfolio material would be welcomed.
  • Proficiency in lighting design software, as listed below.
  • Possess an excellent appreciation of lighting technicalities, and other relevant metrics.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilise lighting design software, such as Agi32/Lighting Reality/Relux/Dialux to create comprehensive lighting plans for projects. Training will be offered if necessary on any of these programs.
  • Collaborate with contractors and clients to understand project requirements and objectives, ensuring optimal lighting solutions.
  • Review and improve existing lighting designs, looking for opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce the number of luminaires.
  • Interpret and apply relevant regulations related to the exterior lighting design task.
  • Work closely with the Sales team members to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring smooth coordination of operations.
  • Occasional site visits may be required anywhere in the UK, which may include working outside normal office hours.
  • Other duties as required.

PACKAGE

  • 24 days holiday + bank holidays.
