Laboratory Assistant
Role Description
We are looking for a Laboratory Assistant to work in our ISO accredited Lighting Lab. This permanent role would be office based in the Technical Department in Ware, Hertfordshire.
The successful candidate will have an eye for detail and work closely with our Laboratory Manager.
You will be:
- Learning the necessary processes to carry out accurate thermal, power, and photometric measurements on our lighting equipment.
- Setting up and carrying out measurements, and writing reports.
- As competence increases, system and equipment calibration checks and record keeping will become an important part of the role to maintain our ISO17025 accreditation.
- Organising 3rd party testing and maintaining product compliance certificates
About you:
The ideal candidate would have A-Level (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and Physics. Previous experience in the Lighting industry will be an advantage also any Electrical and Electronic qualifications would be beneficial.
Salary depending on qualifications and experience with opportunity to become Laboratory Manager within a year.
