Apprentices are key to the development and future of CU Phosco Lighting. We pride ourselves on not only ensuring that you have the right skills to complete the role, it is also supporting you in your career and development for a successful future. And, with apprenticeships in all areas of the business, from Highway Lighting Intallation, Manufacturing and head office functions, from marketing to accounts, you will be fully supported by an experienced and successful team.
As an apprentice joining our four-year Highway Lighting Installation and Maintenance Scheme, you can look forward to a bright future. You will finish the apprenticeship with qualifications in Highway Electrical Systems as well as an NVQ Level 3 in Highway Lighting.
With the aim of a permanent role with us after completion, this is a fantastic route to a long and valuable career with qualification to support your future. Working with you local depot, you will spend most of you time on project sites, learning all technical aspects of High Mast Lighting and general Highways Lighting. You will also attend college to support formal qualifications as well as training courses, provided to support learning of required industry fields such as lifting operations and electrical work.
Working with skilled and experienced professionals and mentors, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of the industry.
A minimum of 5 GCSEs grades A-C / 9-4 (or equivalent) including Maths, English, and Science.
An interest in Electrical engineering as shown by your relevant work placements, hobbies, or projects.
