The new Cleve RFC off-field kit has officially landed – and it’s already turning heads. This season, players will step out in new pre-match and off-field gear proudly featuring the CU Phosco logo, thanks to a renewed sponsorship deal with the family-run lighting manufacturer.
The sponsorship sees CU Phosco’s branding appear across a wide range of the club’s off-field kit, including pre-match warm-up T-shirts, jumpers, three-quarter zips, substitute coats and player training wear.
This marks the third year of CU Phosco’s support for Cleve RFC player Liam Clode, as well as the first season of broader sponsorship of the club’s off-field kit.
Matt Murray, Sales Director at CU Phosco, said:
“We’re proud to continue supporting Cleve RFC and particularly Liam, who has shown fantastic growth. The club is a real hub for the local community, and we’re delighted our sponsorship now extends to the team’s off-field kit. We wish the players every success for the season ahead.”
Liam Clode added:
“I’d like to thank CU Phosco for their continued support of both myself and Cleve RFC. It means a lot to see a local company backing grassroots rugby in this way. The new kit looks fantastic and has given the lads a real boost heading into the season.”
Paul Vinicombe, Head Coach at Cleve RFC commented:
“Support from local businesses like CU Phosco makes a huge difference to our club. Sponsorship helps us to invest in players, facilities and community programmes, ensuring rugby remains strong at all levels here in Bristol. We’re grateful to CU Phosco for being part of our journey.”
Founded in 1922, Cleve RFC has been at the heart of the local sporting community for over 100 years. With a motto of “we sow to reap”, the club prides itself on instilling discipline, teamwork and professionalism across all age ranges.
For CU Phosco, supporting grassroots sport is part of a wider commitment to community engagement, helping young people build confidence and transferable skills both on and off the field.
