As part of our ongoing Meet the Team series, we’re shining a spotlight on the people who help drive our business forward. This time, we’re getting to know Leoné Archibald, our Materials Controller based in Coleford.
Leoné joined CU Phosco in November 2021 in the finishing department, before moving into an office-based role as a Key Account Supervisor in August 2023. Since then, she has grown within the company, taking on new responsibilities and officially stepping into the role of Materials Controller in July 2025.
Let’s meet Leoné and learn more about her role, her journey, and what motivates her both in and out of work.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE OF A MATERIALS CONTROLLER ENTAIL?
“My role involves inputting daily data from the production, galvanising, and finishing departments. I also manage the purchase ledger, plan for the bracket shop, order materials, and liaise with suppliers. It’s a busy, varied role that keeps me on my toes.”
WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE YOU JOINED CU PHOSCO?
“Before CU Phosco, I worked as a teaching assistant. I started my journey at CU Phosco in the column finishing department, then moved into the bracket shop, where I developed my skills and deepened my product knowledge. Eventually, I progressed into the office, where I took on new challenges and responsibilities.”
WHAT DO YOU MOST ENJOY ABOUT YOUR ROLE?
“I love that my job is so varied — no two days are the same. It’s also a really integral role in the business, which gives me a great sense of purpose.”
WHAT DOES CU PHOSCO MEAN TO YOU?
“The Coleford factory feels like one big family. It’s a supportive, tight-knit team, and I feel privileged to be a part of it.”
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING OUTSIDE OF WORK?
“I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors with my dog, and running — it helps keep me sane!”
In 2026, Leoné is taking on an incredible personal challenge: a 100km Ultra Marathon to raise money for the mental health charity Mind. She’s currently in training for this endurance feat, and we wish her all the very best.
Good luck, Leoné — we’re cheering you on all the way!
