CU Phosco is delighted to announce a new year-long sponsorship with Hertfordshire-grown professional golfer Ellen Hume, supporting her throughout the 2025 playing season as she continues her rise through the professional game.
Ellen’s journey into golf began at the age of eleven, competing alongside her twin brother, Noah. Highly competitive from the start, both achieved scratch handicap at just fifteen, only a week apart, and Ellen quickly progressed to representing her county, region, and country as a junior.
Her talent earned her a golf scholarship to the United States, where she spent six years competing in the NCAA system. After starting at Charleston Southern University, Ellen transferred to the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), completing both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Exercise Science while training daily with some of the world’s top collegiate golfers.
Ellen turned professional at the end of 2024 and has already achieved multiple Top 10 and Top 25 finishes across the LET Access Series (LETAS) and Ladies European Tour (LET). Her goal for the coming season is to finish inside the top seven on the LETAS Order of Merit, a milestone that would secure full Ladies European Tour playing rights.
A PARTNERSHIP ROOTED IN LOCAL PRIDE
With CU Phosco headquartered close to Ellen’s hometown, this sponsorship reflects the company’s commitment to supporting promising local talent and celebrating individuals who demonstrate the same focus, resilience and drive that define the CU Phosco ethos.
Matt Murray, Sales Director at CU Phosco, said “Ellen represents everything we admire, talent, hard work and determination. She’s a brilliant role model, and we’re proud to support her as she progresses through the professional ranks. It’s fantastic to back someone local who is making such a strong impression on the international stage.”
Ellen added, “I’m really grateful for CU Phosco’s support this season. Growing up locally, it means a lot to partner with a company that is so well-respected in the area and throughout the UK. This sponsorship allows me to focus fully on competing and achieving my goals on tour.”
LOOKING AHEAD
Throughout 2025, Ellen will wear CU Phosco branding on her competition kit as she competes across Europe. We look forward to following her progress and sharing updates from her season as she works toward full Ladies European Tour status.
From all of us at CU Phosco, welcome to the team, Ellen, and good luck for the year ahead.
