As we continue our Meet the Team series, this time, we introduce Lisa Parker, Receptionist, based at our head office in Ware. In September 2026, Lisa celebrates her 10-year milestone at C.U. Phosco.
CONGRATULATIONS, LISA! 10 YEARS IS A GREAT ACHIEVEMENT. BEFORE WE JUMP INTO YOUR C.U. PHOSCO JOURNEY, TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR CAREER BEFORE JOINING US.
"Before joining C.U. Phosco, I worked for Tesco Head Office as a Facilities Manager and looked after the switch room, reception, post room, and the goods-in and archiving departments."
WHAT DOES YOUR CURRENT ROLE ENTAIL?
"As Receptionist, I greet visitors, ensuring they feel welcomed and have a positive experience while on site. I also answer all switchboard calls from customers, collect, sort, send out post, and send out order acknowledgements."
HOW HAS THE COMPANY CHANGED SINCE YOU JOINED?
"Since joining in 2016, the team has continued to grow, and I've seen the business change its name from CU Phosco Lighting to C.U. Phosco. We also celebrated our centenary in 2023”.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT WORKING AT C.U.PHOSCO?
"I like the people, being a valued part of the team, and working for a family-run business that's still successful after 100 years."
DO YOU HAVE ANY FOND MEMORIES OF YOUR TIME HERE SO FAR?
"I have made many good friends since starting at the company. Sadly, one of my good friends passed away, but I will always have the memories of her great sense of humour and of our bonding over the TV show Dinner Ladies."
