As part of Careers Week, we’re continuing to showcase the people behind CU Phosco and the different paths that can lead to a successful career in lighting.
Today, we meet Victoria Pearce from our Contract Services Division, whose career journey is a great example of how opportunities to grow and develop can evolve within the business over time.
HI VICTORIA! CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT WHAT YOU DO AT CU PHOSCO
My role centres on three core areas within the organisation:
- Project organisation and delivery – I help manage projects across various locations in the UK, ensuring they are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
- Health and safety leadership – I’m committed to maintaining strong health and safety standards across Service Division operations, including helping to develop procedures and best practices.
- Compliance and process development – I work to support team compliance and develop robust internal processes that improve both safety and service quality.
WHEN DID YOU JOIN CU PHOSCO AND HOW HAS YOUR ROLE HAS EVOLVED?
I joined CU Phosco in 2013, straight after university, as an Assistant Contracts Manager. That role gave me a strong grounding in the Service Division — visiting clients, producing quotations, and supporting contractual documentation.
In 2016, I moved fully into the Services Division, shifting from contract management into the hands-on operational delivery of lighting projects across the UK. Since then, I’ve continued to grow within the business, building experience that bridges commercial strategy with operational execution.
WHO DO YOU WORK WITH?
Over the past 10+ years, I’ve built trusted relationships with many long-term clients. Internally, my role also involves driving compliance initiatives, supporting mental wellbeing, and contributing to the Green Team, so I regularly work with colleagues across multiple departments within CU Phosco.
HOW DID YOU GET INTO LIGHTING?
Lighting was actually something I was introduced to through a family connection, which first sparked my awareness of the industry. Once the opportunity came up to join CU Phosco after university, it felt like a great chance to build a career in a field that combines technical expertise, real-world project delivery, and long-term customer relationships.
Thanks for your time and for all that you do at CU Phosco. For more information about roles in lighting, read our Careers in Lighting blog.
