CU Phosco Lighting manufacture a range of wind turbine support structures to suit your application and budget including:

1. Tapered Tubular (TT) columns up to 12m nominal height;
2. Octagonal poles up to 18m height; and
3. 20 sided folded sheet steel monopole masts which we can manufacture up to 55m height depending on the wind loads imposed from the turbine.
   
   The support structures can be either fixed or base hinged, to suit your service interval and access requirements. Smaller turbines may be mounted on mid-hinged columns.
   
   The column and octagonal pole can be installed either rooted in the ground or flanged on concrete foundations.  Monopole masts are typically flange mounted on concrete foundations.
   
   We supply wind turbine support structures on the basis of one of the following scenarios.

1.  If you are producing one or more wind turbines designed and constructed in accordance with BS EN 61400-2 for Small Wind Turbines:  Completing the wind turbine design to this standard produces the full design loads required to carry out the design of the wind turbine mast. Based on the loads your design would provide us, we would select and check the mast or column design on your behalf.  This process is important to ensure the column is not overloaded and unsafe. 

2. If you intend to supply a quantity of wind turbines on a commercial basis but have not completed the design to BS EN 61400-2, we would be pleased to spend some time selecting the optimum column to suit the market you have in mind and helping you to satisfy yourself that the support structure selected is suitable for your purposes.  

3.  If you are designing a one-off or low volume wind turbine not in accordance with BS EN 61400.  We can supply a standard column based on your specification and minimum structural strength requirements.  We would take no responsibility for the design or whether the column is suitable for the final use.  You would be responsible for selecting the column based on your own load calculations from the wind turbine and taking into account the wind loads on the column as well as the turbine.  

Wind turbine masts are supplied ex works however, we can organise delivery of your structure to any UK or international location.  Where requested we can ensure that the delivery vehicle is fitted with lifting equipment to assist in unloading the equipment on arrival.  Please ask us for a quotation.

A foundation design service can be provided if required.
