NICEIC Approved Contractor

Under licence from the Electrical Safety Council the NICEIC acts as the electrical contracting industry's independent voluntary regulatory body for electrical installation safety matters throughout the UK. It maintains and publishes registers of electrical contractors who have been assessed against scheme requirements, including the national safety standard BS 7671 and The IEE Wiring Regulations.

Constructionline

Constructionline Certificate

Constructionline is the UK register of pre-qualified local and national construction and construction related contractors and consultants, owned and endorsed by the DTI. Constructionline ia a contributor to the Rethinking Construction initiative. Constructionline gathers and assesses pre-qualification information on behalf of public and private sector procurers and provides them with access to over 12,500 fully accredited contractors and consultants free of charge.

In addition, Constructionline helps constructors and consultants by reducing the need for them to fill-in pre-qualification forms for every tender.

Institution of Lighting Engineers

ILE Certificate

The Association of Street Llighting and ElectricalContractors was formed in 1952 as an association of trading organisations, with the prime objective of representing the interest of companies operating in the highway electrical  contracting market. There were 10 founder companies, of which CU Lighting was one, and now there are over 40 members.
The objectives of ASLEC are;

The Institution of Lighting Engineers (ILE) is the UK and Ireland's largest and most influential professional lighting body, dedicated solely to excellence in lighting.  The ILE has evolved to include designers, architects, consultants and engineers amongst its 2,000+ membership.   The key purpose of the ILE is to promote excellence in all forms of lighting. This includes exterior, sports, road, flood, emergency, tunnel, security and festive lighting as well as design and consultancy services.
